Timothy C. Crumphoto of Tim Crum

Tim Crum was born and raised in Sandusky, Ohio.

He with his wife Sandra and their four children are more than 10-year residents of Rio Rancho.

Professional Experience
Enlisted in the United States Navy and earned the classification rating of Crypto-logic Technician Technical (CTT). Served eight years of active duty and four years of reserve duty.

Over the years, Crum has owned, directed and operated three of his own businesses, and worked eight years in the computer software industry.

Served as manager for New Mexico Department of Health Access to Recovery (ATR)Substance Abuse Treatment and Recovery Project ($22.5 million project /three-year grant).

Deputy Director of the National Atomic Museum.

Currently serves as the management analyst for the New Mexico Public Education Department’s Special Education Bureau. In this position, he analyzes a wide variety of management and program components within the Special Education Bureau ranging from state and federal statutory performance, compliance and outcome requirements, and fiscal management.  In total, Crum analyzes management data for a $87 million program.

     Councilor Crum was elected as District 5 City Councilor in March 2010 to a four-year  
    term. The next election for the District 5 City Councilor seat is March 2014. Rio Rancho 
                   Governing Body members are elected in non-partisan elections.
