Summer Reading
Groundbreaking Reads hand with bookGrades 7-12
Pick up a free Groundbreaking Reads bag when you register- while supplies last! Read books and then record them in your online reading log. Complete six books and win a free book from our prize selections. Complete 6 more and win a second book.

Each week of summer reading the library will do a random drawing of registered teens (who have read and reviewed at least 1 book) to win a prize. You could potentially win a: 25$ Amazon gift card; 50$ Fat Squirrel Pub and Grille gift card; 25$ Under Charlie's Covers Used Bookstore gift certificate; Regal Entertainment movie tickets; and tickets to see the NM Stars at the Santa Ana Star Center.

Creative Writing for Teens: A Revision Surgery Workshop

Teen Summer Reading Finale
Friday July 12, 3:00-6:00 p.m.
Loma Colorado Main Library
Time capsule, B-B-Q, giant ice cream sunday, prizes and outside activities for all teens who participated in summer reading! All on the back patio! To gain entry, every teen must bring a small trinket that represents teens in 2013 to put in the time capsule.

Teen Advisory Group
 
           Next meeting is May 29, 2013 at 5:00 on the back patio. It will be a BBQ potluck.

Teens are invited to be part of T.A.G., the teen advisory group of the Rio Rancho Public Library. This is your chance to help plan programs for teens and recommend books, magazines, audiobooks, DVDs and other materials. T.A.G. is open to all teens in grades 7-12. Monthly meetings are held on the 4th Wednesday of the month at the Loma Colorado Main Library. Call for more details.

The Teen Space at Esther Bone Memorial Library offers teen fiction, nonfiction, biographies, graphic novels, audio books and magazines, as well as comfortable seating for young adults. Teen Space is available for use during regular Esther Bone library hours.

Twilight Zone at Loma Colorado Main Library
The Twilight Zone is a space for teenagers at the Loma Colorado Main Library made possible by a generous donation from Pulte Homes. This space houses the library's teen collection of fiction, comic books & graphic novels, audio books, and magazines. There are computers, a Wii, and comfortable seating available for teen use only. The Twilight Zone is open during regular library hours.
