My Water Account / Pay My Bill
Utilities Services Specialists are available to assist account holders and to accept payments by calling 505-891-5020, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Those wishing to pay their utility account in-person may do so Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Rio Rancho City Hall (3200 Civic Center Circle NE).

Make payments in English or Spanish using a credit card (Master Card, Visa, Discover, or American Express), check account balance, review billing history, review payment history, and request fax receipts of payment or account information by calling 505-891-5211. This Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

There is a $ 1.75 convenience fee imposed on all credit card transactions that are received over IVR phone payment system, paid online, or paid over the phone with a City representative. **Please note that as an alternative to paying with credit cards, utility customers may be able to use their bank Bill Pay website to make payments via ACH for a significantly lower amount, if not for free. The City also offers a Bank Draft option from your Checking or Savings account at no extra charge.

Make Payments Online
To make your payment online, you will need to set up your account. To do this:
  1. Please click this link: Pay my water bill
  2. Click on: Create Password. You will need to have your most current water bill to obtain
    your Account ID Number, Bill Date, Due Date, Total Amount Due, Cycle-Route Number, and Balance Forward information.  This information is found on the right hand side of your bill.
  3. Create a Password by following the instructions on the screen which include security verification question.
  4. Click on:  Submit
  5. You will be sent a confirmation e-mail.
  6. Once you receive the confirmation e-mail you will be prompted to complete the registration process.  When completed, you will be able to view your account information and pay your bill.

After you set up your account
Sign in using your Account Number and Password.  Pay your bill, look up your account information, and/or send us an e-mail with your questions.

Unable to access Payment website?

If you cannot access the payment website, please check the following security on your computer:
  • Open Internet Explorer window
  • Click on Tools
  • Click on Internet options
  • Click on Advanced tab
  • Scroll down to Security section. Check mark: SSL 3.0 and TSL 1.0
  • Apply to save your changes.

Bill Pay through Your Bank
If you choose to make your payments through your Bill Pay service with your bank, please use the following address to ensure payments are received within 5 business days and posted to your account:

Drive-up Payment Drop Boxes
Two locations are available: Rio Rancho City Hall (3200 Civic Center Circle) parking lot and the Meadowlark Senior Center (4330 Meadowlark Lane)

Bank Draft Payment
To set up bank draft payment you will need to complete our bank draft form and attach a voided check. It can take one billing cycle for the bank draft to be activated. When this service is established, at the top of your bill “Bank Draft, Do not Pay” will be printed.
