Q How old do you have to be to become a member?
A The minimum age for membership is 55, however, if your spouse/partner is younger, he or she may also join.

Do you have to be a Rio Rancho resident to be a member?
A No, the only qualification to become a member is a minimum age of 55.

How much does it cost to become a member?
A There is no charge to become a member, however, there is a monthly newsletter with pertinent information which you may subscribe to for $8 per year.

May I get a tour of the facility?
A Yes, we will gladly provide an informative tour of Meadowlark Senior Center.

Q

How do I register for programs?
A Registration takes place on the FIRST Thursday of every month from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. in the MSC Dining Room (Multipurpose Room). This is a "first come-first served" process and numbers will be given out at the Lobby Desk at 8:00 a.m. You will be asked to present your membership card at that time. It is a good idea to arrive early. Program registration will continue at the membership desk throughout the month. Registration is only required for programs that have a fee.

Can I register for programs over the phone?
A Yes, for programs that do not include fees. These programs are posted on the Programs Board. You may register by phone by calling the Front Desk at 891-5018 or you can come in and sign-up.

Can I volunteer at the Meadowlark Senior Center?
A The Meadowlark Senior Center utilizes hundreds of volunteers with responsibilities from driving vans for trips, to teaching classes, to working at the Center’s Front Desk. If you would like to volunteer, call the Center at 891-5018 or come by MSC.

Is there transportation for seniors?
A Yes. Transportation is provided by Meadowlark Senior Center to Center sponsored activities. Additionally, Sandoval County provides transportation to lunch and back home. For more information, call 896-8313. Rio Transit is a door-to-door transportation service for seniors and those who are 18 and over and disabled. You may call 994-1608 for more information.

How much does it cost for lunch?
A Meals are provided by the Sandoval County Senior Program. For participants 60 years or older, there is a suggested donation of $2.00. For those not yet 60 years old, the cost is $6.00, due to federal funding requirements.

Where do I sign up for home delivered meals?
A Home delivered meals are provided by the Sandoval County Senior Program and can be arranged by calling 896-8313 or by visiting the Sandoval County office at the Meadowlark Senior Center.
