The Municipal Court offices are located at 500 Quantum Road in the DPS/Municipal Court Complex.

This building can be easily found by driving north on State Hwy 528 and turning left onto Quantum Road immediately past the four story Amrep building - the DPS/Municipal Court Complex is on the right hand side of the road.

7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday (Closed Friday)

The Municipal Court has jurisdiction over traffic and other violations of Municipal ordinance. The Municipal Court does not have jurisdiction over civil matters and does not provide restraining orders.

The maximum penalty that may be assessed in Municipal Court is a $500 fine and 90 days in jail, except for DWI cases where the maximum penalty may be 179 days in jail and a $999 fine.

Penalty assessment citations may be paid by cash, check or money order.  This may be done in person during normal business hours.

Payments
Payments may also be made on line using Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express. Please go to citepayusa.com and be prepared to provide your case/citation number and your date of birth. Payments may also be sent by mail to: P.O. Box 15190, Rio Rancho, NM 87124. Your payment must be received in the Court Clerk's office within thirty (30) days from the receipt of the violation.
