Xeriscaping Information
Using Xeriscaping in your front yard or backyard can help reduce the amount of water you use when watering plants. There are several basic principles to proper xeriscaping: Planning and design, soil improvements, appropriate turf areas, low water usage plants, efficient irrigation, mulching, and proper maintenance. Xeriscaping has lots of colorful plants and ground cover that needs little water, but still keeps your yard looking beautiful.

Below are some visual examples of Xeriscaping that has been done in Rio Rancho.
