Broadmoor Boulevard Study Description
The city of Rio Rancho is a growing community. In order to support the anticipated growth, future traffic demands, and the city’s future long-range planning goals, Broadmoor Boulevard has been identified as an important link for the city’s transportation system.
The Broadmoor Boulevard Corridor Study will identify improvements needed to convert the existing corridor into a four-lane minor arterial.
Due to the potential for future state and/or federal funding for the proposed alternatives, the study management team is following the New Mexico Department of Transportation’s (NMDOT’s) Location Study Procedures (LSP) for the corridor study.
The phases of the LSP include a combined Phase A/B which consists of an initial and detailed evaluation of alternatives and a Phase C consisting of environmental documentation and processing.
