    June 26, 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM @ Haynes Park

    The city of Rio Rancho Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department invites citizens to enjoy some of the area’s most popular music acts at Haynes Park, 2006 Grande Blvd. From June through August on Sunday nights, all ages can enjoy free, live music from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Citizens are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and a picnic as they enjoy a variety of different musical styles. Those scheduled to perform include: June 5: Bluesol June 12: The Hit Squad June 19: New Horizons June 26: High Desert July 3: The Click July 10: Bluesol July 17: Roger Jameson July 24: Java Fix July 31: The Hit Squad Aug. 7: Java Fix Aug. 14: Roger Jameson Aug. 21: High Desert Aug. 28: Symphonic The music acts are subject to change and events can be cancelled due to weather.   3. Police Information Exchange: Chief’s Night Out

    June 28, 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM @ Loma Colorado Main Library

    Meet Rio Rancho's Chief of Police Michael Geier and learn more about the operations of the Rio Rancho Police Department. Chief Geier and members of his command staff will lead a presentation that will include a "virtual tour" of all the different units in the agency and explain their responsibilities and duties. He will introduce and explain all the various public safety programs and initiatives that have been recently implemented to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the department. There will be an open discussion and a "question and answer" segment to address any concerns or issues attendees may have.

    Regular meetings take place on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. at Rio Rancho City Hall. Meetings are streamed on the city's Web site and broadcast on Rio Vision, the city's government cable channel available to Rio Rancho Cable One subscribers.
