  1. High Desert Pipes & Drums: Story of the Great Highland Pipes

    August 23, 2:00 PM - 3:30 PM @ Loma Colorado Main Library Auditorium

    Loma - New Mexico’s own High Desert Pipes & Drums, a world class pipe band competing as far away as Glasgow, will showcase the history of the Great Highland bagpipes in a colorful display of exciting music and Highland Dancing.

  2. Summer Music Series

    August 24, 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM @ Haynes Park

    From May through August on Sunday nights, all ages can enjoy free, live music starting at 6:30 p.m. Citizens are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and a picnic to hear a variety of different music styles played at the park’s Rotary Club Barbeque Pavilion.

  3. Arts Commission Mtg.

    August 25, 6:00 PM @ Rio Rancho City Hall

    Regular meetings of the commission take place on the second Thursday of each month at 6 p.m. at Rio Rancho City Hall. A meeting of the Arts Commission will take place on August 25, 2014 at 6 p.m. at Rio Rancho City Hall.

  4. Planning & Zoning Board Mtg.

    August 26, 6:00 PM @ Rio Rancho City Hall, Governing Body Chambers

    Regular meetings take place on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. at Rio Rancho City Hall. Meetings are streamed on the city's Web site and broadcast on Rio Vision, the city's government cable channel available to Rio Rancho Cable One subscribers.

  5. Finding Richard III

    August 26, 6:30 PM @ Esther Bone Memorial Library

    Esther - The battle of Bosworth was fought on August 22nd in 1485 and sadly Richard III was not given a dignified grave after dying in battle.

  6. Governing Body Mtg.

    August 27, 6:00 PM @ Rio Rancho City Hall, Governing Body Chambers

    Regular Governing Body meetings take place on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at 6 p.m. Meetings are streamed on the city's Web site and broadcasted on the city's government cable channel RioVision (available to Rio Rancho Cable One subscribers).
