  1. RR Public Schools Senior Art Show

    March 27, 8:00 AM - April 22, 5:00 PM @ Rio Rancho City Hall

    The annual Rio Rancho Public Schools Senior Art Show ‘Rising Stars’ is taking place on the third and fourth floors of Rio Rancho City Hall from March 27-April 22. Artwork from seniors at Rio Rancho and Cleveland high schools and the Cyber Academy will be on exhibit as part of the show. A reception will be held on April 4 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on the third floor of City Hall. During the reception at 6 p.m., awards will be presented to students featured in the exhibit. At the free reception refreshments will be served and the public is invited to attend. National Art Honor Society students will also have their art on exhibit from March 27 through April 22 on the fourth floor of City Hall as part of their membership requirement.

  2. Concussions and Youth Sports

    April 5, 10:00 AM @ Esther Bone Memorial Library

    Esther - Dr. David Marler will discuss common myths and treatments for concussions, as well as the most recent guidelines for concussion diagnosis.

  3. Domestic Well Water Fair

    April 5, 10:00 AM - 4:30 PM @ Loma Colorado Main Library

    The city of Rio Rancho’s Public Works Department/Environmental Programs Office, the New Mexico Environment Department, and the New Mexico Department of Health are hosting a Domestic Well Water Fair. Citizens with private domestic wells are encouraged to bring a one-gallon fresh water sample from their well (find a faucet that is not connected to a treatment system such as reverse osmosis, water softener, or carbon filter) in a clean glass or plastic container to get tested for free by the state for the following: pH, Specific Conductance, Fluoride, Iron, Sulfate, Arsenic, Nitrate as Nitrogen, and Manganese.

  4. Cleanup Registration Kickoff Party

    April 5, 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM @ O'tero's Dairy Queen

    Rio Rancho’s Keep Rio Rancho Beautiful Division (KRRB) will hold its annual Great American Cleanup Registration Kickoff Party on Saturday, April 5, 2014, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Otero’s Dairy Queen, 2116 Southern Blvd. While supplies last, free root beer floats will be available to those who register to participate in the city’s May 3, 2014, Great American Cleanup event. The May 3 cleanup event, which will run from 8 a.m. to noon, is ideal for schools, businesses, civic groups, neighborhood associations, service organizations, and individuals wanting to volunteer and improve their community. Activities will include cleaning trash and debris from public lands, road right-of way, and parks throughout the city. Following cleanup work on May 3, a thank you party for volunteers will take place at Haynes Park featuring refreshments and giveaways.

  5. Acts of Kindness Day Event

    April 5, 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM @ Haynes Park

    The goal of Acts of Kindness Day is to get people to think about how they treat one another and encourage a culture of civility in our community, with the ultimate objective of banishing bullying and making Rio Rancho a kinder place to live.
