    September 27 - October 31 @ Santa Ana Star Center, upper west parking lot

    The Galloping Grace Youth Ranch’s Pumpkin Patch will run from Sept. 27 to Oct. 31, 2014. The hours of operation are Tuesday –Thursday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.; open Monday, Oct. 27 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and closing at 4 p.m. on Oct. 31.

  2. Let’s Read Shakespeare! The Santa Fe Shakespeare Close Readers

    October 25, 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM @ Loma Colorado Main Library Auditorium

    Loma - A “close” reading of Shakespeare moves slowly and carefully, uncovering original meanings of words, keeping track of themes and motifs, making sure every line is understood and ambiguities are explored. After a brief presentation, we will read Shakespeare aloud in groups, each guided by a veteran “Shakespeare close reader.” Silent participants are perfectly welcome. Materials will be provided, but feel free to bring your own copy of Shakespeare’s collected works.

  3. CIPCAC Mtg.

    October 27, 6:00 PM @ Rio Rancho City Hall

    Capital Improvements Plan Citizen’s Advisory Committee (CIPCAC) meetings take place quarterly. In 2014, meetings are scheduled to take place on January 27, April 28, July 28, and October 27. In addition, a special meeting is scheduled for February 5.

  4. Rarámuri: The Foot Runners of the Sierra Madre

    October 27, 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM @ Loma Colorado Main Library Auditorium

    Loma - The amazing runners of the Rarámuri tribe spend their lives traversing the Sierra Madre Occidental canyon walls and plateaus. Diana Molina will talk about their culture and modern society’s impact on their lifestyle and show some of her spectacular photographs. Molina’s portrayals have been published in numerous magazines and exhibited internationally in museums. Funded by The Friends of the Library of Rio Rancho, Inc. and the New Mexico Humanities

  5. Planning & Zoning Board Mtg.

    October 28, 6:00 PM @ Rio Rancho City Hall, Governing Body Chambers

    Regular meetings take place on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. at Rio Rancho City Hall. Meetings are streamed on the city's Web site and broadcast on Rio Vision, the city's government cable channel available to Rio Rancho Cable One subscribers.

  6. Computer Basics: E-mail for Beginners

    October 30, 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM @ Esther Bone Memorial Library

    Esther - This is a beginner session on how to set up an email account using free resources such as: Yahoo, Hotmail, and Gmail. Mouse skills required. Registration is required. Call 891-5012, ext. 3127 to sign up starting September 9th.

  7. Public Meeting-Broadmoor Blvd.

    October 30, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM @ Rio Rancho City Hall

    The city of Rio Rancho Public Works Department is holding a public meeting to present plans and share information on the proposed improvements to Broadmoor Boulevard (Northern Boulevard to Paseo del Volcan). The meeting will take place at Rio Rancho City Hall, 3200 Civic Center Circle, and consist of: •Open House - 6 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. •Formal Presentation - 6:30 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. •Question-and-Answer Session – 7:15 p.m. to 8 p.m.

  8. Preschool Halloween Storytime

    October 31, 10:30 AM @ Loma Colorado Main Library

    Get dressed up in your favorite costume and enjoy some slightly scary stories. Afterwords enjoy a trick or treat parade through the library.
